A gem from Hong Kong about two 60-somethings, Pat and Angie, who have been a couple for 40 years. When Pat dies suddenly, Angie slowly loses her grip on her life. Despite good relations with the in-laws, Angie soon comes to realise that she has few rights as an unmarried lesbian woman.
‘Remarkably, Yeung keeps far away from caricatures. Just about everyone in the film, including the greedy in-laws, has essentially good intentions. It is this nuanced complexity that makes All Shall Be Well a gem.’ Film Fest Gent
