Biography on the life of English writer Emily Brontë (Emma Mackey). Born in 1818 in the small town of Thornton, she is the middle of the three Brontë sisters, after Charlotte and before Anne. As children, the sisters move with their brother Branwell and their parents to Haworth, where their father Patrick holds a position as a minister. This is also where the sisters’ literary talent emerges. Emily began writing poetry and would later become known as the author of ‘Wuthering Heights’, a classic of English literature. We follow the journey of a rebel and a misfit, a young woman trying to be herself, one of the world’s most famous, mysterious and provocative writers who dies too young of tuberculosis at the age of 30.
