Seventeen-year-old Sam goes on a three-day camping trip in the Appalachian Mountains with her father Chris and his old friend Matt. The two divorced men struggle with their failures and disappointments, and their characters openly clash: one is over-organised, the other has no idea what a trek entails. Sam is the silent third who observes the men. Good One is a delicate portrait of a young woman on the brink of adulthood, caught between male egos and her role as the perfect daughter. Impressive debut, with a powerful Lily Collias as Sam.
