Souleymane has recently arrived in Paris and is trying to survive as a meal delivery boy. At the same time, he is doing all he can to get out of illegality. With his humanist drama that is as poignant as it is touching, Boris Lojkine confronts the viewer with a reality that is too easily forgotten, but no less inhuman for that. The debutant Abou Sangare was lauded for his portrayal of Souleymane at Cannes as the best actor from Un Certain Regard, the section in which the film also won the jury prize. (Film Fest Gent)
