Parthenope is Paolo Sorrentino’s (La Grande Bellezza and Youth) ode to the city of Naples. The film depicts the life of a woman named after the legendary siren from the Gulf of Naples. From her birth in 1950 to the present, she enchants everyone around her. With a deep-seated passion for freedom, her city and its many faces, as well as the men in her life, Parthenope paves her own path. While the men are carried away by their desires, she searches for her own happiness. But where does her future lie?
