Hirayam (Kôji Yakusho) cleans public toilets in Tokyo. He has a simple life and is seemingly content with it. In his repetitive existence, his spare time goes to music and literature. His other passions are photography and trees. Gradually, episodes from his past come to light through unexpected encounters.

Perfect Days is a moving and poetic reflection on finding beauty in the everyday world around us. Kôji Yakusho won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival.
