Primavera
Early 1700s. Venice, Italy. The fate of virtuoso violinist Cecilia takes a turn when her orphanage hires an ambitious composer as its new music teacher: Antonio Vivaldi. The screenplay was inspired by Tiziano Scarpa’ s Stabat Mater, a novel based on the real life of Vivaldi, a Roman Catholic priest who taught at the Ospedale della Pietà for nearly 30 years.
An impressive costume drama that won the audience award in Chicago at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
