In autumn 1997, Inger is taken on a bus trip to Paris by her sister. Inger is schizophrenic and lives in an institution. During the trip, she makes no secret of her condition, but not all fellow travellers can initially appreciate her ad remme, sometimes crude statements. Once she arrives in Paris, Inger turns out to have a hidden agenda and involves everyone in the search for an important person from her past.
