The Odyssey
After the fall of Troy, Odysseus, king of the island of Ithaca, embarks on a perilous journey home that lasts for years. During this arduous journey, he and his crew encounter all manner of creatures, including the Sirens, a Cyclops and Circe, the daughter of the sun god. Meanwhile, Odysseus’s wife Penelope fends off suitors in Ithaca, and his son Telemachus sets out in search of his father.
Christopher Nolan’s new film is an epic and mythical saga. Homer’s famous poem has been spectacularly adapted for the screen, starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya and Charlize Theron.
