Cities by Night<\/em> is a participatory project by Valentina Medda exploring how experience fear while crossing the city.<\/span>
\nTogether with women, she sets out to find the places in Kortrijk that feel safe to them.
\nThis is different for every woman.
\nThe women walk through the city after dark.
\nThey avoid streets where they do not feel comfortable.
\nTogether, all these walks form a new map of Kortrijk.<\/p>\n

What will you be doing?<\/h3>\n

First, you\u2019ll take part in a workshop on Sunday 25 October from 9am until noon, led by Valentina.
\nAfter that, you\u2019ll have two weeks to go for a walk in Kortrijk yourself, in the dark.
\nYou\u2019ll do this once the shops have closed and the sun has set.
\nYou\u2019ll be given a map on which to mark the places where you feel uncomfortable.
\nOn 8 November, you\u2019ll hand in your map.<\/p>\n

Who are we looking for?<\/h3>\n

We\u2019re looking for 12 women from different backgrounds, ethnicities, genders and ages.
\nAnyone who identifies as a woman is welcome.
\nYou will receive a volunteer fee for this.<\/p>\n
