Lu returns to BUDA alongside five artists who worked together in 2025: Rik, Juan, Fede, Emily, Kristen, and Sebas. This research residency will be a time of shared practices, understanding dance as a ritual, as a form of encounter, and as a perspective from which to create from the constellation of their universes.<\/p>\n
In this co-creation, they will explore the connections between music and dance, rhythms derived from everyday experiences, sounds of nature, and the rituals of daily life. They will allow the beauty of shadows to emerge, repetitions to transform, and the flow of the external world to induce a trance.<\/p>\n
They will explore the past embodied in the body, reliving memories from the brain to return them to the physical body from which they were born. The absurdity of reliving past events in a different place and time, with different people, challenges the absurdity of basing our lives on past narratives that become obsolete.
