{"id":36522,"date":"2026-02-17T10:36:57","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T09:36:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buda.be\/?post_type=residentie&#038;p=36522"},"modified":"2026-03-02T15:04:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T14:04:10","slug":"hypothetical-deaths-of-the-exarchian-anti","status":"publish","type":"residentie","link":"https:\/\/www.buda.be\/en\/residentie\/hypothetical-deaths-of-the-exarchian-anti\/","title":{"rendered":"Hypothetical Death of the Exarchian Alpha (working title)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Hypothetical Death of the Exarchian Alpha<\/em> <i>(working title) <\/i> is a performative re-adaptation of <em>Hypothetical Death of the Exarchian Alpha<\/em> <i>(working title) <\/i>\u00a0\u2013 a self-initiated research and editorial project by graphic designer and author Ella Villaumi\u00e9, first published in 2020 by sun\/sun \u00c9ditions in collaboration with Typical Organization.<\/p>\n<p>Villaumi\u00e9\u2019s original book is a field-based investigation into the sociological, historical, and political upheavals of modern Greece through the epigraphy and visual traces on the walls of the Athenian neighbourhood of Exarcheia \u2013 a district historically associated with anarchist, anti-capitalist, and anti-fascist movements.<\/p>\n<p>This performance project emerges from <em>DARKWAVES<\/em>, a field test conducted in Athens in early 2025, and continues a series of reflections on the dynamics of dissent, memory, and collective resistance in Exarcheia.
