Samen met kunstenaars, curatoren en theoretici nadenken over andere organisatiemodellen.<\/p>\n

Kunstinstellingen omarmen de gedachte van “meer politiek in de kunsten” door steeds vaker sociaal of politiek geëngageerde artistieke projecten te realiseren of te presenteren. Tegelijk blijven ze wat hun eigen werking betreft, verbazingwekkend koppig vasthouden aan hun bestaande organisatiemodel.<\/p>\n

BUDA wil op zoek gaan naar alternatieve modellen. Het festival Buda Vista #10 opent een tijdelijke ruimte –ergens tussen realiteit en fictie in– om samen met kunstenaars, curatoren en theoretici na te denken over The Fantastic Institution<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In diverse lezingen en debatten bevragen we concepten als macht, geld, ruimte, tijd, hoe cureren, gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid, exclusiviteit vs openheid, flexibiliteit vs stabiliteit, zacht vs. hard, klein vs. groot en kwantiteit vs. kwaliteit. Maar evengoed: hoe ziet de bar eruit in The Fantastic Institution<\/em>?
\nWees bijzonder welkom om op elk moment aan te sluiten en mee te denken.<\/p>\n

Het is geen kwestie van tegen de instelling zijn. We <\/em>zijn de instelling. Het is een kwestie van welk soort instelling we zijn, welk soort van waarden we institutionaliseren, welke praktijken we belonen en welk soort van beloningen we nastreven.<\/em>
