There lies man. Dirty, stranded, full of nostalgia for his origin in the slippery water. What happens when we penetrate this image, if we want to catch a glimpse of the precious life in the &#8216;lower&#8217; layers of our experience that are now sealed under the concrete of civilisation ?<\/p>\n<p>Based on personal experiences that are connected with his physical handicap Michael Turinsky sketches a human utopia beyond the anthropocene. In it a body that is sterile, erect and endlessly productive is contrasted with a body that is close to the ground \u2013 it&#8217;s porous, unclean, unproductive. In the performance <em>SOILED<\/em> that body is recognized as deeply human. With three performers drenched in pumpkin seed oil, Turinsky opens a highly imaginative space in which the outlines of a new community become visible.
