Together with music ensemble Ictus, choreographers Claire Croizé and Etienne Guilloteau (ECCE) are working on an ambitious new performance for four dancers and four musicians. The performance BÉLA combines contemporary dance, Béla Bartók’s Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion, and adventurous electronics that push the boundaries of sound art. Claire and Etienne are in technical residency at BUDA together with the dancers and technical staff to finalise the performance in the run-up to its premiere on 6 February 2026 at Concertgebouw Brugge.

ECCE is the dance company of Claire Croizé and Etienne Guilloteau. They began working closely together in 2004 from their base in Brussels. They both create their own work and are often involved in each other’s work as dancers or dramaturgs, but they have also collaborated on a whole series of creations. In just over 20 years, they have created 30 performances, 13 of which feature live music on stage by B’Rock, Oxalys, MP4, Zwerm, Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg, OENM, ICTUS, Pluto Ensemble, Goeyvaerts String Trio, Alain Franco, Matteo Fargion and Aisha Orazbayeva, among others.
