The fold of ^ a Landscape explores how body, movement, and space are shaped through continuous processes of folding in and folding out. Light, sound, and objects form part of a shifting landscape where relations, distances, and roles are constantly reconfigured. Through evolving interactions between space and movement, the performance unfolds as a series of open situations rather than a fixed narrative. Stability and uncertainty coexist, allowing difference and ambiguity to shape how connections emerge, and inviting audiences to sense, observe, and imagine new ways of relating to space and to one another.

At BUDA they will continue their creation process that started early 2026. They will explore technical possibilities for light, sound and visual art, and experiment with various ways of audience movement and how the performers and the performance itself can relate to that. 

Heine Adval & Yukiko Shinozaki / Fieldworks (BE)

Heine Avdal (NO/BE) en Yukiko Shinozaki (JP/BE) zijn al jaren kind aan huis bij BUDA. Ze creëerden en presenteerden hier tal van voorstellingen (Some notes are, Field Works-office, nothing’s for something, Borrowed Landscape, distant voices…)

Heine Avdal en Yukiko Shinozaki 's werk gaat over “performativiteit” en laat een open interpretatie toe van beweging als een heterogene combinatie van verschillende media. De kunstenaars putten uit een breed scala van disciplines en expertise: performance, dans, beeldende kunst, video, muziek en technologie.
Hun producties verkennen zowel theatrale als niet-theatrale omgevingen. Sinds 2000 hebben ze meer dan 20 producties gemaakt, die allemaal internationaal zijn gereisd.
