The most powerful man in the world, Digger Rockwell (Tom Cruise), has set in motion a catastrophic chain reaction that threatens to destroy humanity. Now he is making a final attempt to save the world from a disaster that he himself has unleashed.

Following Birdman and The Revenant, Oscar-winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu returns with an absurdist black comedy about power, ego and the fine line between heroism and self-glorification. Tom Cruise leaves his familiar action roles behind and reveals a completely different side to himself in a visually daring satire full of black humour and subversion. Featuring an impressive cast including Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal), Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall), Jesse Plemons (Kinds of Kindness), John Goodman (The Big Lebowski) and Emma D’Arcy (House of the Dragon).
