Sensory-friendly film day

Enjoying a film at your own pace! We offer a relaxing film experience to anyone who needs it but wants to avoid an overload of stimuli. The next sensory-friendly film day will take place on Wednesday 10 December 2025.

A sensory-friendly film day looks like this:

• The audience can download a visual preparation in advance that familiarises them with Budascoop.
• The digital screens in the entrance hall are turned off. Only essential information is visible.
• There is no background music playing in Budascoop and a quiet area is provided with comics, colouring pages, etc.
• A recognisable receptionist welcomes the audience and answers any questions (before, during and after the film).
• The programme is straightforward: there are no overlapping activities.
• The auditoriums are filled to a maximum of 1/3 of their capacity, so that all film lovers have sufficient space around them.
• The auditorium is never completely dark; during the film, there is dim lighting so that people can easily enter and exit the auditorium.
• A countdown clock indicates exactly when the film will start.
• The sound during the film is lowered.
• For those who want it, sound-absorbing headphones, sensory materials, weighted and wobble cushions are provided.
