Building on the world created by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland in 28 Years Later, Nia DaCosta directs 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. The young survivor Spike (played by Alfie Williams) finds himself unwillingly drawn into a violent, extremist cult led by the malevolent and terrifying ‘Sir Lord’ Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell). This storyline shows that in a collapsed world, the greatest danger often comes not from the zombies, but from humanity itself. Meanwhile, Dr Ian Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) makes a revolutionary discovery. He manages to establish an unexpected connection with Samson, a so-called Alpha Infected (an infected individual who appears to be more intelligent or dominant than the rest).
