La Venue de l’avenir
Four cousins, who until then had been strangers to one another, are brought together by the unexpected inheritance of an abandoned house in Normandy. They discover a mysterious shared past. Two centuries ago, their ancestor and owner of the house, Adèle Munier, left her rural village to search for her mother in bustling Paris – at the height of urban renewal and the rise of Impressionism.
As her descendants follow in her footsteps, they gradually piece together Adèle’s life story and find a sense of direction for their own futures. Two worlds – the family’s contemporary perspective and the vibrant 19th-century Paris – become intertwined in a story of heritage, identity and connection.
