The film follows actress Nora (Renate Reinsve) and her sister Agnes (Inga Isbdotter Lilleaas), who have recently lost their mother. When their estranged father, the once-successful filmmaker Gustav (Stellan Skargard), gets back in touch with a film script, he offers Nora the lead role. This is the first step in an attempt to rebuild the bond between father and daughters.
