Always in Between is a project led by Markus Hallmark, in collaboration with Margherita Massarroti, that explores the act of waiting, particularly waiting for someone else to change. How does the duality of waiting, it is both temporary but constant throughout our lives, manifest in the body? During this residency period, they aim to explore, develop material and rehearse for the performance of the piece.

Markus Hallmark is an artist based in Sweden with a background in hip hop, improvisation, contemporary and Gaga. He has trained at UC Berkeley, La Faktoria Choreographic Center and University of Salford, and has worked with choreographers such as Noa Zuk, Miguel Altunaga, Joss Arnot, Carmen Larraz and Laida Aldaz.

Margherita Massarotti is a Barcelona-based artist who started dancing hip hop as a child, before discovering contemporary dance at the age of 11. She has studied at Trinity Laban, La Faktoria Choreographic Center and spent three months in India learning kalaripayattu and kathak.
