Ahmed and Ibrahim are two Egyptian performers working with us through Mophradat. Mophradat supports artists from the Arab world. Together they are working on Another solo, a project that revisits the relationship between choreographer (Ibrahim Abdo) and dancer (Ahmed Maraaie). The focus is on creating together. Ahmed has a very different quality of movement and the way he applies the movements to his body is beautiful. He feels comfortable with his body, but is sensitive to all the changes and elements around them – from light to sound. Another Solo becomes a ritual to meet our inner fears and dance them away.
