Lydia McGlinchey (AU)
Art for Celebration
During this residency, Lydia McGlinchey is working on a performance she is creating especially for BUDA’s 20th anniversary!
To round off the Almost Summer festival and especially for the 20th anniversary of BUDA arts centre, Lydia McGlinchey is creating a party that blends clubbing, performance and installation. An impressive sculpture made of flax spins like a luminous chandelier in the rotunda of budascoop. Two performers – clad from head to toe in raw flax – open the party. Like extravagant go-go dancers, they whip the crowd into a frenzy whilst the DJ spins records. An exuberant and irresistible birthday party!
