BADBYE is a choreographic trio that approaches the theme of consumption from the way it weights down our bodies and besieges their imaginaries and disordered hunger of creative transformation. The project will be hosted in BUDA for a residency of ten days in the frame of the post-exerce master accompaniment sustained by ICI-CCN of Montpellier (France). During this working time, we’ll deepen the research on movement and the aesthetic environment with the aim of clarifying the dramaturgical line and thickening the choreographic writing.

The project is by Barbara Novati in collaboration with Sophia Seiss (DE) and Ametonyo Silva (BR).

This residency is taken place in the frame of a collaboration between BUDA and EXERCE.

Barbara Novati (IT)

Born in Italy in the suburbs of Milan in 1994, Barbara Novati is a dancer and performance maker. Graduated in dance at the Paolo Grassi academy of Milan and in philosophy, since 2022 she’s based in France where she achieved a choreographic formation at exerce master at ICI-CCN of Montpellier in 2024. Besides her work as performer especially within the Italian artistic scene, she’s developing her own aesthetic research, designing performative ambiences where dance’s writing develops from bodies’ states and a stratified sensorial experimentation linked to the contemporary life experience.
