“Together with a group of dancers and musicians, we will begin with the “two-beat bourrée”, a traditional collective dance from center of France, to summon the form of the “Ball” both as a space in which music and dance cohabit, and as a device for the invocation and circulation of affects.”

Madeleine Fournier is a choreographer and performer. Since 2018 she has created several pieces under her own company ODETTA : a solo – Labourer, a group piece with 5 performers: La Chaleur and different duets: Ce jardin, Zwei Palmitos. Her work takes place in close connection with experimental music, singing, dancing, performance, the vegetal, often collaborating with artists from different fields. She likes to observe how context affects our perception of a representation: garden, theater, concert, venue, art gallery and cinema.
