During the first week of the residency at BUDA, Diederik will be working together with light designer Henri Emmanuel-Doublier and technical mastermind Jérome Dupraz design the technical elements for the scenography of the new creation Confabulations. The second week will be focused on text & performance, for which Diederik will be joined by performers Marcos Simoes, Grégoire Blanc and artistic collaborator Marion Le Guerroué.

Diederik Peeters (BE)

Diederik Peeters is a visual artist who got lost in the performing arts. In addition to many collaborations with fellow artists, Peeters has also concocted several creations of his own, such as Chuck Norris doesn’t sleep, he waits (2007), Red Herring (2011) or Apparitions (2019). Peeters’ work persistently questions the notion of a solid and objective reality, piling up absurdities and contradictions that reveal a universe in which everything is constantly transforming and nothing ever turns out what it seems to be. Along with Kate McIntosh and Hans Bryssinck he is a founding member of SPIN, a support and reflection platform based in Brussels.
