Sophie Guisset (BE/DE)
Endless Summer Camp
With Endless Summer Camp, Sophie Guisset continues her exploration of spaces of freedom and unexpected alliances.Drawing on her personal experience within the Catholic Girl Guides movement, she borrows its framework and structure only to subvert its conventions. Welcome to a summer camp, where adult performers create a fleeting community and explore desire, transgression, and joy together. Here, vice, perversion, and self-transcendence are not taboos, but sources of pleasure and pride. A space where sexuality is shared and experienced with vulnerability, humor, and delicacy. Endless Summer Camp invites us to rethink our relationship with desire and to imagine, together, new relational scenarios, under the sun.
2025: During this one week residency, Sophie Guisset will work with dramaturge Lisa Vereertbrugghen on writing the application dossier for her new creation called Endless Summer Camp (working title).
2026: During this week-long residency, they will continue writing the scripts and explore how these stories can resonate with the performers’ installation of the set elements.
