From interviews with (performing) artists and song lyrics, a lot of text material on identity and self-profiling emerged. During his residency at BUDA, he starts the first rehearsals on the floor to start translating those texts into scenes and performative qualities.

Simon Baetens (BE)

Simon Baetens (1995) holds a Master’s degree in Drama from KASK School of Arts. He performed in the work of Julian Hetzel (Mount Average), Willem de Wolf & Myriam Van Imschoot (IN KOOR!), Ne Mosquito Pas and Rosie Sommers & Micha Goldberg (German Staatstheater). As a dramaturge, he worked with Lisa Vereertbrugghen and Thomas Verstraeten/Toneelhuis and for residency platform workspacebrussels. He is co-coordinator of performing arts magazine Etcetera and was co-founder of drag collective House Of Lux.
