La Fabrique des yeux secs / The Making of dry eyes
La Fabrique des yeux secs / The Making of dry eyes is a form of sound theatre, set to the rhythm of Laurie Bellanca’s voice and populated by persistent ghosts that bear traces of what we don’t see, but also signs of what we might begin to look at differently. A cross between the philosophical writings of Camille Louis and contemporary political concerns, it opens the door to a wider conversation. A conversation that starts on stage and can continue in the outside world.
After Camille wrote the book version, they already spent time in residencies at 3bisf (Aix en Provence), at the festival Les rencontres à l’échelle (Marseille) and at la Bellone (Brussels) to reflect on dramaturgy and how to translate a book to the stage. In BUDA, they are working on this and gathering a whole creative team to shape the scenography and light creation.

Laurie Bellanca (FR)
Laurie Bellanca is an actress, reader and a musician. She co-created the collective kom.post with Camille Louis in 2009 where she develops a practice of situated narratives (Fabrique du Commun, Radio Occupons!, Autour de la table) and continues in 2016 the articulation between voices, sound creation, literatures and contexts within the Lectures Electriques (Centre Pompidou, Mucem, Jeu de Paume, Grutli, GrandT). She accompanied as an actress and composer the theatrical projects of Lazare for 10 years (TNS, Théâtre de la ville Paris, TNB) and created her company in 2020- L’Opératrice- in order to prolongate on the very special space of « the stage” the issues that have occupied her for a long time, that is to say: to give a sensitive existence for complex thoughts.
