Louise Siffert (FR)

Lavender Nightmare

Lavender Nightmare proposes a rewriting of the lesbian vampire figure, crossing classic horror aesthetics (Universal, Hammer, Italian giallo) with literary approaches that rethink it through consent, symbiosis and alternative relationships.

She will build and test scenographic elements; painted sets, lighting, simple mechanisms, and movable materials using a handcrafted approach inspired by Mario Bava, Derek Jarman, and Jack Smith. These elements will be activated live to explore how light, texture, and artifice shape perception in a nightmarish atmosphere. She will also rehearse performance, focusing on acting through notions of monstrosity and voice work.

Louise Siffert (FR)

Louise Siffert trained as a set designer before entering the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Her performances and films explore marginal political communities and their archives Through the fabrication of costumes, props and soundtracks, she creates and invests visual sets that plunge us into a DIY, immersive and grotesque universe reminiscent of the “camp” and dissident aesthetics of artifice.
