Nu werken ze voor het eerst bij BUDA aan OER (werktitel). Daarin onderzoeken ze een primitief theater dat waggelt tussen brute schoonheid en gevaarlijke stilte. Er zijn twee lichamen, zonder meer. Verwacht een onfatsoenlijke dans die, ondanks of dankzij de uitputting, vooral wil ontroeren.

Lobke Leirens & Maxim Storms (BE)

Lobke Leirens and Maxim Storms both graduated from the School of Arts / KASK in Ghent.

Maxim Storms is a mime artist who learnt his craft at KASK (School of Arts Ghent) and performs on various stages for a variety of audiences. De Standaard once described him as ‘the Charlie Chaplin of his generation’ because of the slapstick that characterises Storms’ acting style.

In her own work, Lobke Leirens combines horror and poetry and seeks to portray evil in a more nuanced way. She is also a regular performer with the multidisciplinary theatre company Kuiperskaai.
