Louise Vanneste / Rising Horses (BE)
Mossy Eye Moor
In continuity with her previous creations, Louise Vanneste continues her choreographic exploration of the deep connections between humans and geological phenomena with the five dancers of Mossy Eye Moor. In a kaleidoscopic style, midway between choreography and literary writing, she crafts a dreamlike universe at the crossroads of narrative and abstraction, human and non-human, imagination and the tangible.
The residency at BUDA will provide an opportunity to work on stage with technical elements, specifically focusing on scenographic components and the integration of projected or broadcasted text.
Louise Vanneste / Rising Horses (BE)
After training in classical dance, Louise Vanneste enrolled at P.A.R.T.S., where she graduated. A scholarship from the SPES Foundation (Be) allowed her to further her education in New York, notably with the Trisha Brown Dance Company. Her works have been presented in Belgium and internationally.
Within Rising Horses, Louise Vanneste develops choreographic works that transcend a creation process focused solely on and for the body. She is committed to the concept of choreography of the environment, which considers sound, light, space, humans and non-humans, the visible and invisible as choreographic terrains.
