MTHRNSS – A Fluids Politic
MTHRNSS – A Fluids Politic is a choreographic research project that conceives of the body as a space traversed by flows — biological, emotional, social, political and economic. Drawing on transformative experiences such as motherhood, illness and microbes, the project explores how bodies reconfigure themselves through contact with others, with living beings and with society. It focuses on the shifting thresholds between the clean and the unclean, care and contamination, intimacy and danger, connection and separation.
The residency at BUDA marks the first time the entire team will come together on stage. The four performers, two musicians and a dramaturg will experiment together, seeking a fluid creative process leading towards a rhythmic and vibrational dance,

Castélie Yalombo Lilonge is a Belgian artist, graduated from ULB and the Higher Institute of Choreographic Arts of ARBA-ESA in 2020. Her artistic practice is at the intersection of choreography, installation and poeticspeech.
She questions the status of identity and otherness, as well as the subject/object status of the body. Those questions find a place in a broader research on the capacity for kinesthetic empathy in the relationship of the performer to the audience.
