Claire Huber (FR/BE)
No.oN
No.oN is a performance that emerged from the recognition of a ‘no’. By refusing to grant the consent demanded of a performer: their notorious ‘availability’. But rather than exploring why we resist what oppresses us, or seeking an alternative to that oppression, Claire instead examines that resistance itself. No.oN is a project that explores the concept of ‘the body that says no’ in its poetic, physical and rhythmic manifestations.
Claire Huber (FR/BE)
Claire Huber develops scenic forms at the intersection of voice, poetic text, sound and movement. She is interested in questions of musicality in the spoken voice, prosody and rhythm in their spatial, physical and sonic dimensions, as well as in contemporary forms of orality explored through different languages. She also translates poetry and curates workshops on listening and composition and sound dramaturgies.
