In the long-term project Tafelen, Anna Schlooz explore alternatives to family and care, drawing from experiences in youth care and queer communities. In BUDA, she will take the time to address a personal question within this project: What is the difference between a desire for children and a need for care? In what ways can she, as a queer person, carry and give care?

Anna Schlooz (NL/BE)

Anna Schlooz (she/her, 1997) is a performer and theatre maker living and working in Ghent. She graduated as a theatre teacher in the Netherlands and also completed a bachelor and master Performance Art in Ghent. Her work consists mainly of multimedia performances and participatory projects. In these, she explores ways of being together, thinking together and caring for each other.
