During the residency week, Laura will delve deeper into her physical research, which she aims to incorporate into this piece. Although part of a duo project, she will work independently to discover a performative thread that connects her presence with her voice, exploring potential interplays with Benjamin Chaval’s musical score on drums.

Laura Kirshenbaum (IL/FR) is an Israeli dancer and choreographer based in Montpellier, France since 2016. She holds an MA in choreography from the ‘exerce’ program (2016-2018) and studied dance in several formal and informal settings. Since finishing her studies, she has been creating her own projects, working as a dancer with other choreographers, accompanying others in their own creative processes, teaching in several dance and choreographic frames. Laura Kirshenbaum approaches the worlds of choreography and performance as platforms through which processes of learning and knowledge sharing are taking place. She promotes different kinds of collaborative modalities and is interested in encounters where a reciprocal exchange is practiced and manifested .
