Paula Almiron (AR)
The River and The Devil
During her residency, Paula will continue her research around disappearing bodies of water in Bolivia. She will work on the creation of ‘The River and The Devil’, a dance performance that is concerned with the embodiment of the movements, forces and rhythms that are being extinguished together with the disappearance of river Desaguadero. This stream was seen by the colonisers as a devil, as an evil body of water; could the devil be an ally to speculate on a (fictional?) geo-social revolution?
