This residency marks the final phase of the creation process of their newest dance performance. The five dancers refine their choreography as the set, an installation of light and photography, settles into place together with the music. The dancers will wear the costumes for the first time, with the designer ensuring every detail fits each dancer and the piece. The process culminates in a showing for an invited audience, a intimate unveiling before the piece is offered to the world.

Hiatus / Daniel Linehan (US/BE)

Daniel Linehan started his dance trajectory in Seatle and New York City and lives and works in Brussels since 2008 where he completed the Research Cycle at P.A.R.T.S. and started his dance company Hiatus. The word “hiatus” implies a space of possibility, an opening. Linehan’s choreographic approach is about opening up new space for the unexpected to occur. Each project within Hiatus aims to create an opening that fosters connections in the here and now: bringing attention to our physical surroundings and our social environment.
