He is developing early stage materials for tired music concert, a 5-hour long experimental dance performance that will premiere in 2029. Part I will already premiere in 2026. Currently they are working with four performers, as well as designers, using a big wooden ramp and variety of props.
Kensaku Shinohara (JP/US)
Born in Sapporo, Japan, Kensaku Shinohara is an artist who brings a practice in anthropology to bear on his work as a choreographer/performer/videographer/musician. His works have been presented across the U.S. and internationally in Lisbon, Paris, Toronto, Kuala Lumpur, Tainan, and Japan. Shinohara is a recipient of Foundation for Contemporary Arts, 92Y Harkness Dance Center AIR, Exploring the Metropolis AIR, Queens Arts Fund New Work Grant, Japan Foundation New York Grant for Arts & Culture to name a few.
