During this residency, we are fully in the practice phase of research. We focus on well-defined folk dances that we learnt in Brussels, Brighton and Montpellier and on rave. Gradually, we explore which group experience is central to all these dances and how collective intimacy and loss of control have a place.

Lisa Vereertbrugghen (BE)

Since 2014, Lisa Vereertbrugghen has been researching the music and dance of hardcore techno through various formats between sound installation, performance and text. She holds a master’s degree in cultural history from Leuven (specialising in the history of dance and the body) and a diploma in choreography from the School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam.
