Over the past few months, three residential care homes in our region have opened their doors to three artists who, for 25 days spread over a period of six months, worked in tune with the daily rhythm of the home. Through dialogue with residents, care staff and those around them, each artist found their place within the organisation. Now that their residencies have come to an end, we are taking the time to look back. The Woon.Zorg.Kunst discussion is a conversation between artists and care staff, facilitated by An Van den Bergh.

Loeke Vanhoutteghem is a spoken-word artist and musician who worked at Pamele, a programme run by Zorggroep Heilig Hart for people with acquired brain injury. Anneleen Keppens, a choreographer and dancer, worked with two residential groups for people with dementia at WZC De Weister. Musician and composer Patricia Vanneste was active at Sint-Vincentius in Avelgem, where she worked mainly with a residential group for people with dementia. They are supported by De Ambulanten, three artists who followed a similar path at Huize Sint Monika in the Marolles district of Brussels.
