In the film, our hero, the Cat in the Hat, is given his toughest mission yet by the Institute for the Institutionalisation of Inspiration and Imagination: to make Gabby and Sebastian, a brother and sister who are struggling to settle into their new city, smile again. But the Cat is known for sometimes going just a little too far. This could well be his last chance to prove himself – or to lose his magic hat.

In the Flemish version, a strong cast brings the colourful characters to life. Wouter Hendrickx plays the chaotic Cat in the Hat, whose mission is to make children happy. Tom Van Dyck provides the voice of Waffles, the haughty but exceptionally talkative goldfish. Jelle De Beule also plays the role of Mr Wiegeboom, the Cat’s grumpy boss, whilst Isabelle Van Hecke lends her voice to Patty, the nosy neighbour.
