Wild Horse Nine
Shortly before the coup in Chile in 1973, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are sent to Easter Island by their boss MJ (Steve Buscemi). They are confronted with their dark past. When Chris forms a bond with two rebellious students, their stay threatens to be turned completely upside down.
A pitch-black, absurd and, at times, surprisingly moving journey to the end of the world. Following Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Banshees of Inisherin, Martin McDonagh returns with his signature blend of razor-sharp dialogue, black humour and clashing characters. Behind this absurdist buddy comedy lies a dark tale of guilt, responsibility and American interference in Chilean history. John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich) and Sam Rockwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) form a delightful duo, alongside Steve Buscemi (Fargo), Parker Posey (The White Lotus) and Tom Waits.
