Foundations (werktitel) is een samenwerking tussen Claire Huber en danseres en muzikante Nastasja Stefanic, en muzikant en vocalist Stalin Abdi. Het stuk bouwt voort op asymmetrische ritmes en combineert de metrische basis van westerse tradities en de pulserende modulaties van (midden-) oosterse tradities.

Het onderzoek gaat door de expressiviteit van deze ritmes heen om het idee van samengestelde grondslagen (die heterogene elementen articuleren zonder ze te vermengen) in vraag te stellen. Wat houdt stand? Wat implodeert?

Claire Huber (FR/BE)

Claire Huber writes poetry and creates performances that articulate text, music and choreography. She studied philosophy in E.H.E.S.S., Paris, and choreography and dramaturgy in Berlin (Tanzfabrik) and Brussels (P.A.R.T.S.). Her work, often multilingual and research-driven, explores contemporary forms of orality, the musicality of languages, the physical presence of the body that says, the effects of rhythms on gesture, texts and meaning. She also translates poetry and curates workshops on listening and composition and sound dramaturgies.
