Questions and practices of Cleaning Oracles is a research project, where rebellion of matters, ecologies of co-living and future forecasts are at stake. Engaged with movement-gestural practices, cleaning products and matters reactions, dust and dirt readings, Cleaning Oracles emerge through dreamy and forecasting effects on our bodies and spaces.

Mary Szydłowska (BE/PL)

Mary Szydłowska (°1993) is a Brussels based choreographer, performer and cinematographer. Their work touches on the notions of the peripheral, withdrawn and invisible, followed within architectural spaces and institutional environments. She created a diptych of solo works SOAK and LEAKS, tracing cleaning, maintenance practices and sanitary regimes. She works with objects, fabrics and hand gestures as means for creating attention limbos. Their work expands towards sculpture and installations, in which they perform. Her work was supported by beursschouwburg Brussels, Zachęta National Gallery in Warsaw, Brussels Gallery Weekend, KANAL. Centre Pompidou. They graduated from master programme STUDIOS at PARTS (2021).
