At BUDA, Jennie and Alice will deepen their sonic practices in meeting each other’s different approaches departing from diverse vocal practices. They will elaborate and research musical performative scores in relation to their ongoing project.

Jennie Bergsli & Alice Slyngstad (NO)

Alice Slyngstad (b. 1990, NO) is a visual artist and performer based in Oslo. They are a graduate of the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam and Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Recent exhibitions include the solo Soothing Pants at Vleeshal Center for Contemporary Art, Middelburg (2022), Open Systems at UKS in Oslo (2023) and Goodie bags (2021) at Palmera, Bergen.

Jennie Bergsli (b. 1991) works as a dancer and performer based in Stockholm. Her work departs from experimental dance practices, with a certain interest towards textural and sonorous perceptions. Jennie’s choreographic work springs from cross-artistic collaborations in various projects — presented at, among others, Black Box Theater ﴾NO﴿, Kunstnernes Hus ﴾NO﴿, festival Les Urbaines ﴾CH﴿, Spriten Kunsthall (NO). Since 2019 she holds a bachelor in dance and performance from Stockholm UniArts.
