Together with Doris de Vries, Sophie Anna is working on her documentary theatre performance about politics, sexuality and dating. Together, they will try to find a way to bring together text, audio and visual material. How can the body and voice of one actress represent multiple (political) identities on a stage?

Sophie Anna Veelenturf (NL) & Doris de Vries (NL)

Sophie Anna Veelenturf (1999) is originally from Amsterdam and moved to Ghent in 2019 to pursue a degree in theatre at KASK School of Arts. Apart from her work in theatre, Sophie Anna is an avid singer, which she currently does as one of the actors in Funeral from Ontroerend Goed. At the moment, she is developing her work as a theatre maker and performer as part of the Master’s programme at KASK.

Doris de Vries (1999) is a director, choreographer, and performer originally from Amsterdam, currently based between Dublin and Amsterdam. Since finishing her degree in Drama and English Literature at Trinity College Dublin in 2021, she has worked as a performer, director, and dramaturg. She was assistant dramaturg with ITA on Ivo van Hove’s The Damned in May 2022 and worked as assistant director with Leopold Witte on Door de Bank Genomen: 10 Jaar Later.
