“For this residency I will be continuing the work I have been focusing on during these last weeks. Working on discovering different bodies and their way of moving, each body might carry a different content in relation to the music and the three axes mentioned before: artistic, socio-political and spiritual. The body as an archive of information which in contact with this music, opens a space to discover the web that surrounds what we are. I will also do a small archiving of music and contextualize it in relation with the axis previously mentioned and maybe include the context of Belgium in relation to history of this music and the people who have made it.”

“I was Born in Cali (Colombia) and at the age of 14 years old, I migrated to Spain where I lived in different cities until the age of 25. I am a performer invested in my first work as a maker , in this case a dance-performance-research project that touches the topic of salsa music and its resonance artistically , socio-politically and spiritually in my upbringing , the one of the African Diaspora. The work offers a journey through memories, sonic memories that have traveled through time, breaking the idea of linear time and opening a space to explore the unseen, the invisible, the subtle found in this music and its history. “
