During their residency in BUDA, they will further develop the performance White Gold. White Gold is a re-enactment of traditional performance from the cotton growing regions of rural central India. The yearly performed myth holds the belief that when the landscape changes, so does the body and so does language.

This work is part of the Birth of Cotton project , which delves into the history of cotton farming in India and the current cotton farming crisis due to industrialized farming practices that have aggressively reshaped the rural Indian landscape.

Intimidation Tactics (I_T) is a post-critical theatre collective with no regard for disciplinary boundaries. With its projects I_T conjures reasonable doubt within established ways of knowing starting from the question “How the Fuck did we end up here?” Via strategies like auto-exoticisation, hyperstitional evocation and appropriation through piracy. With poetry, commonplace materials, digital technologies and speculative writing we examine the complexities of globalisation in a postcolonial time.
